So, you want to know more about our site, eh? Well, you've come to the right place. Here we will tell you almost all you need to know about us!

So, Kaffeine was over at my house. It was October 20th, 2007. We were like insanely bored. So, I showed Kaffeine one of my former sites, Monkey Business. She liked it tons. But then again, she didn't have great taste (joking). Anywho, she started exploring some of the different parts of the site. There were a lot of broken links, and I didn't bother to fix them. Then, she showed me her site, The Gift of Stories. It was a .com domain, yet she never did anything to it. Not even a simple layout. Alls she had was a white background and plain text. Suddenly, she had the idea that we make our own site! So, we spent like 25 minutes thinking up a nickname for Kaffeine (what? Did you think Kaffeine was her real name?). We didn't need to think one up for me, for I already had a nickname, Kinza. Thus, we started on our first layout. Sorry, I forgot to keep the layout. Anyways, our first layout had monkeys blended together from nationalgeographic.com. We thought that the monkeys looked ultra cute in the layout. When we thought we had enough content for the moment, we applied as affiliate with NG. Miraculously, they accepted! We then applied for affiliates like crazy with a lot of people. Our site was still freewebs at this time.

We then started adding content. I didn't know how to use iframes then, so making the website was quite hard. Oddly, we changed the layout every week. Sometimes, every 2 days. So, it was always a big mess. I then started looking at some iframe tutorials on NFW. I then understood how to use iframes. It wasn't at all hard, really, once you learned the basics. So anyway, I started on a new table layout. I actually used iframes on this one. I kept that up for about 3 and a half weeks and then I got tired of it. A few days later, I happened to stumble upon PS. They were hosting sites for free. I looked at all the requirements and benefits and saw they provided our own FTP. Of course, I didn't know what FTP was. I applied to be hosted anyway, and to my surprise, we were accepted. At this time, Kaffeine was at my house. She was watching and being bored. I didn't really care. Anywho, Mahala, I learned, was an ULTRA nice person. She thought me all I needed to know about FTP. This all happened November 2nd, 2007.

Then, on April 20th, we celebrated our half birthday! We had games, contests, and a lot more. It wasn't very big though... :P

Well, the site went on (and on..), but I soon got tired of how long our domain name was. I mean, it was kaffeine-kinza.pixlatedstars.net, and that's pretty long, if you ask me. So, I changed hosts on June 30th, 2008. It's only been two months since we've opened, and we bring in a very hefty amount of visitors. I've also seen a few people using our graphics, which always makes me fell good. I also found out that someone was actually inspired by my graphics!

My pledge to you is that I will keep the site open, for as long as possible. And when I'm unable to take care of it, I'll hand it over to someone else.

Hehe. That sounded corny =P Anyway...

Kinza converted the site to PHP on August 2nd, 2008, with a lot of pestering towards Courtney :D
